Ah June, not so much busting out all over but forcing us to run for cover. We seem to have spent a lot of time indoors this month, snapping our fingers at raindrops and hoping that the roof wouldn’t spring any more leaks. The May Gala to celebrate Spring Bank holiday in Stationer’s Park was a little damp towards the end but the children very much enjoyed painting a tipi and making hand decorated wings. There were jams, chutneys and a colourful assortment of knitted items for sale and…

Thank you for joining OpinioN8. Welcome.
This is a web site of a type known as "hyperlocal" because it is intended to serve only the N8 area. Its purpose and direction will be decided by you and your contributions. You choose what topics to start and which to respond to. Please add discussions on any local topic you choose to the discussion forum, or longer, less local contributions to your own personal blog which for reasons based solely in a schoolboyish love of puns is called rumiN8. If there is a link to a site of local interest you think we should have please add it to concateN8 (nerdy way of saying link) and pretty soon we will make this into a proper annotated 'links' page.
There are of course some things we frown on, and will do our best to prevent, which are set out in our terms of service.
Apart from that, please crack on and submit your thoughts. Email us at opinion8@rocketmail.com.
