Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
There's an important meeting about the future of Hornsey Town Hall on Monday (16 March). If you care about this amazing building at the heart of our community come along to tell the council what you'd like to see happen.
David is feeling positive about the future of Crouch End with many empty shops and cafes being worked on. Budgen's is closed while it's turned into a new local concept store, there's a new place where you can customise your bag and a retro furniture shop coming soon.
Eating and drinking
Anyone tried Matthew's Kitchen, a new fish restaurant on Middle Lane? Time Out raves about Max's sandwich shop on Crouch Hill. Maybe you can add to the list of local places with great vegetarian choices or shed light on the rumour about a pop-up café in the town hall car park.
Local politics and activism
Rumours are flying and Adrian is suspicious about the involvement of theconsultants/estate agents ahead of Monday's meeting about the future of the town hall. Whatever is planned, can it be any worse than paying for entry? Elsewhere, sign the petition if you want to save Hornsey Vale Community Centre and take part in asurvey to reduce food waste.
