In September 2009 questionnaires were sent to nearly 10,000 Haringey residents seeking their views on the borough's parks and open spaces.
71.5 percent of people who responded to the survey are satisfied with the condition of parks and facilities within them, compared to a national figure of 65 percent.
This shows a continual improvement in the maintenance and provision of all facilities over the last four years - a percentage increase of 8.6 percent since 2005.
Results from these surveys are used to plan for further improvements and are included in the daily management of the borough's parks and open spaces, helping to form long term aims and objectives in individual park management plans.
These ensure that recommendations made and improvements needed that cannot be implemented straight away, are scheduled in for future years.
