#THE eight requests of the traders at the Latin American Market at Wards Corner

THE traders at the Latin American market at Seven Sisters (AKA Wards Corner) are asking for the following eight things that they believe are fair and reasonable.
This, with regards to developing a roadmap that can defuse the current tensions that exist with Haringey Council, that would build trust and introduce an openness of mind and transparency into the process that has hitherto, prior to the commencement of the council's Scrutiny Review, been absent.
  1. Halt the CPO whilst the Wards Corner–Latin Village Scrutiny Review is taking place
  2. Cooperate fully with the Scrutiny Review
  3. Publish the Development Agreement
  4. Publish the costings and legal advice on Wards Corner
  5. Be transparent over who they have met and when in relation to the market and the development
  6. Oversee a new Market Steering Group with new terms of reference, democratic elections for representatives and an elected councillor as chair
  7. Ensure market traders are consulted and involved in choosing a new Market Facilitator
  8. Request a new investigation into serious concerns about the Market Operator
Many would like to know what exactly is the relationship between Haringey Counci and the Market Operator and how long has this relationship been in existence?
