Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Lyn Weber - one of Crouch End's councillors writes (please feel free to respond):
Dear Mr Essex,
As Area Assembly Chair I am delighted to be able to bring to you an opportunity to influence next year's Highways plan across the area.
The Council is starting to put its highways work plan together for the next financial year. Highways investments are limited but I would like to hear what your top three priorities would be for road resurfacing, footway improvements and street lighting investment in our area. I will pass these ideas on to the Highways Department, who will also take into account the results from their annual survey of the Borough's road conditions, which is almost complete. The Council will then decide which of your priorities can be included in the planned works.
It can cost between £20,000 to £120,000 to resurface a road depending on the length. The main roads are more expensive to resurface as they need to reconstruct them to a greater depth and they usually require night-time working which is generally more expensive.
The basic information I need from you is: 1) which section of road or pavement you feel needs treatment and 2) which road or section of road you think would benefit from street lighting investment.
If you'd like to have your say please send your priorities to me at Lyn.firstname.lastname@example.org
Please feel free to pass this email on to friends and neighbours.
