Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
In May of this year there was a rather exaggerated report that MOUNTVIEW WINS HERITAGE LOTTERY FUND SUPPORT FOR HORNSEY TOWN HALL where in fact all that had been granted was some money to do a bit more planning. A quote from further down the page reads
"Sue Robertson, Principal of Mountview, said “This is fantastic news. There is now a real chance of this important building being restored . . . . "
which after all the bally hoo previously comes as a considerable disappointment - I had no idea that there was a real chance it wouldn't be restored.
I haven't had an email update from Mountview or from the Creative Trust for as long as I can remember.
The minutes of our Crouch End forum dutifully persists with its note that the Chair must pursue the Cabinet member for Finance for sight of the Heads of Lease, for which I am grateful.
But news and real signs of progress are still a bit thin.
The last thing actually to happen in the Town Hall was a film show dressed up as art, which caused more distress than pleasure
