Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Investing in our tomorrow - regrettably there are no pop up shows listed in N8
Haringey is a great place, with award winning parks, exceptional education and buzzing high streets.
We want to work with our communities to create a more equal borough, where the ambitions and aspirations of all our residents are supported and everyone who lives here is able to make the most of the opportunities on offer.
Our commitment to empowering communities is under-pinned by our core values – excellent education; safer neighbourhoods; healthier, happier communities; new and affordable housing; a strong and growing economy, and investment in our high streets, roads and pavements.
We know that there are improvements we can make, through empowering and working with our communities, to make Haringey an even better place.
But cuts to our budget during the past few years have made it more challenging, and with a further £70million savings to be found there will be difficult decisions to make. That’s why we want to talk to residents and businesses about how together we can meet our ambitions, and the part we can all play in improving our borough.
We’re not prepared to simply sit back and manage decline, but we won’t be able to do everything we do at the moment, and we will need to change the way we approach some services. And with your help we can continue to build a stronger and more equal Haringey.
We hope that through talking to you about the changes, and hearing more about what is most important to you, we can make sure Haringey continues to be a great place where there are opportunities for everyone to succeed.
We’ve teamed up with Haringey’s Association for Community and Voluntary Organisations (HAVCO) to find out what you think.
Take a look at our short film (above) then let’s talk about...
Alternatively, come and talk to us at your next area forum, or at one of our pop-up road shows across the borough – where you’ll be able to watch the film, meet ward councillors and council staff, take part in an on-street survey and use our vox-pops.
