Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information

Many Crouch Enders will have received a flyer today setting out a "Community Update" on the plans for Hornsey Town Hall.

Page 1 repeats the £36m investment claim, which is probably true if we count the building of a hotel in the benefit to be had from restoration.

Page 2 claims to respond to local feedback, though I have not been able to find a single local who objected to the tower block peeking over the town hall when viewed from outside the fishmonger's. I've seen the 11 social rented homes in the annexe described as the  "noisiest one bed, single-aspect, studio flats in central CE, perfectly located for vibrant outdoor events and concerts, late-night revelry, roof top bars, hotels, restaurants and all your entertainment needs"

Page 3 states "Time and Space Co specialises in Urban Regeneration . . . ."

Page 4 has some contact details.

The Community Use and Access Agreement is expected to be backed up by a community steering group. The Crouch End Neighbourhood Forum has asked that this be implemented as soon as possible
