Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Last week I went to WOW, the Japanese restaurant near The King's Head on Crouch End Hill. Had a great meal, fresh (excellent crispy tempura) and vibrant seasoning (the ramen) and I thought, very reasonably priced.
A week before I visited O's Noodle Bar for the first time in 5 years, and was thoroughly dissapointed. Wasn't a patch on what I remembered and the portions were too small for an adult.
Anyone care to share their experiences?
Had lunch in Zer, today. Two courses for £7.95. I had spicy sausage and a delicious lamb casserole. Sitting next to me the hummus and chicken shish went down very well. The Monbana banoffee milk shake was pretty good too. I'd pick Zer over Sumak because Zer's tables are not all laid out in a straight line.
The Earl Haig must be doing something right as well - it was packed at 6 p.m today with tables full of people eating, a baby shower and a birthday party.
