Also, btw, The Hornsey Town Hall planning application to create a gated development was granted today. The Metropolitan Police got their way and have designed out crime by designing out the people. There are planning policies against gates, but the policies are just ignored. I suppose we should be grateful that permanent cameras and armed guards aren't deployed. Perhaps they'll be next. 

Looks to me like a diminution of the public realm. Cutting off your nose to stop it running.
