Event Description

Thursday 28 Feb 10.30 +Sat 2 Mar 10.30 Learn the traditional art of willow weaving during this special workshop with Angela Baker, artistic director of Twisted Stocking and project manager of the borough-wide ‘A River Runs Through It ‘project. Do drop in on us, lend a hand in the construction of a willow hut in the shape of the famous Coles pottery kilns, that stood on the plot of the old Race Track Stadium, now the Green Lanes Sainsbury’s! Together with TCV we will be preparing the ground for and then creating a set of kilns that will become a focal point for visitors coming into the Abbeville Road entrance. It will act as a marker for where the Moselle runs its course in high waters.
