Outdoor Theatre returns to the historic Lauderdale House (built in 1582) - an opportunity to bring your picnic and enjoy the very special atmosphere of the tea lawn as the sun sets over Waterlow Park when Shooting Stars Theatre Company present their national tour of Much Ado About Nothing (7pm on 22, 23, 24 and 26 August) as part of the Camden Fringe Festival.
The show is fun, very accessible for everyone and no more than 2 hours. And we have an extra bonus for those with small children as their award winning (Best Theatrical Production and Best Children’s show at the Stratford Fringe Festival) production of The Wind in the Willows is also scheduled for 2.30pm on 26 and 27 August.
Press night for Much Ado is Thursday 23 August and is a special fundraiser for Lauderdale Transformed – Lauderdale House’s £2million project to transform the building, reveal more of its heritage and ensure its future viability (http://www.lauderdalehouse.co.uk/page.asp?ID=538&PID=8 )
Leading lady Beatrice is played by South End Green based actress Tabitha Becker-Kahn who grew up in Camden and appeared 2 years ago on the tea lawn at Lauderdale House as Desdemona in Othello. As soon as Much Ado finishes she’s off on a national tour of Romeo and Juliet with Icarus Theatre
So far the shows have toured to RSC Dell Theatre, the Henley Fringe Festival, Stratford Fringe Festival and Bath Fringe Festival and met with great audience responses and good local reviews
Press night is Thursday 23 August at 7pm. Please do let me know if you would like review tickets (or tickets for any other night which might be convenient).
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like photos or to interview anyone.
All the best
