Course Details

• Introduction to Lino printing; a discussion on its history, its unique qualities and artists that have used it.
• Short exercises in partners, sharing and exchanging ideas.
• Demonstration of techniques; transferring images and how to carve into a block.
• Quick experiments using styrofoam to generate textured papers for printing.
• Moving into cutting blocks and then printing and experimenting with different papers and coloured inks.

All equipment and materials included.

Phoebe has a BA (1st Class Hons) in Illustration from Camberwell College of Art and is currently studying for a Masters in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art.

She is also a trained and experienced teacher who lives in Tottenham Hale and works from her studio in South Tottenham.
