It's all about you - Whittington Health the next five years

Whittington Health is gearing up for the next stage in its journey as a healthcare organisation helping local people live longer healthier lives.

As we embark on developing our new five year strategy, we want this time to develop a new relationship with our patients, members, community and anyone with an interest in Whittington Health.

We would like you to take part in a series of ‘conversations’ that we’re staging across Islington and Haringey in November. Whatever your age or health condition, we would like to hear your health priorities, worries and suggestions. Our review will cover children and young people, maternity, adult and older people’s care and how we treat a range of conditions including cancer, mental illness, learning and physical disability, and long-term conditions like arthritis, diabetes and dementia as well as focusing on prevention.

Patient champions

We are also looking for people who are passionate about our services and have experienced our care to become our Whittington Health patient champions. Our new champions will help us to develop our strategy and tell our story.

National patient champion Ashley Brooks – who since suffering an infection while being treated for leukaemia has been inspiring and motivating others to improve the NHS – will be joining us at this event to encourage others to follow in his footsteps.

In December, we will begin to set a new direction and pull together our new strategy with the help of the King's Fund, an independent charity working to improve healthcare.
