A fine excuse to spend some time in the delightful surroundings of Alexandra Palace Palm Court. This event is designed to suit all ages and we have guests aged 0-95! The Cakewalk Revival is a step back in time to the 1920/30s with classic Jazz band and old 78's. The event regularly attracts over 100 guests, many of whom are vintage dancers of all ages. This is a spectacle not to be missed. There is also a treasure hunt with prizes for young people who like running around! More info here:
The Cakewalk time machine will start Spreadin' Rhythm Around at 5.30pm. With live piano and vocals from the much loved and delightfully talented musical magnet Ewan Bleach. Plus our peacefully omnipresent resident DJ - Swing Maniac - playing classic 78s from the 1920s/30s on old school DJ kit.
** Put a little swing in your step with a beginners swing dance lesson from 6.00-6.30pm led by the very excellent Gaia Facchini. £3 for half an hour. **
Live Swing and Ragtime Jazz band from 7.30 till 10.30. With DJ Swing Maniac at the interval and 'till close.
The new and improved Bar&Kitchen menu will be available until 9.00pm.
£5 adults (£8 including dance lesson)
Kids (under16) get in free
