I'm not sure the bench was destroyed, I think it was broken when it was installed as one of the planks had snapped. I may be wrong but it didn't look like vandalism. Or if it was, it was a very half-hearted attempt.

I have read the news letter which has a variety of interesting content.

Innovative (and income producing) ideas for the library are likely to be a hot topic in Haringey

It is a shame that thewine tasting could not go ahead. Perhaps there is a price sensitivity - staying at home with a bottle of Sainsbury's holds more attraction than spitting out fine wines.

The Peace Walk was well attended. I had no idea there were 4 peace gardens so close by.

By contrast the W5 bench destruction is a disappointment.

A new community choir is up and running at Station House, Stapleton Hall Road, meeting at Thursday lunchtimes from 12noon to 2 pm. Everyone is welcome: e-mail sing1728@yahoo.co.uk or call 07729 749483 to find out more

The newsletter needs a new editor - any volunteers should contact ???? [sic]
