The labels are off and now it’s official: the speed limit in Haringey’s side roads is 20mph. There is no doubt that impacts at lower speeds greatly reduce the risk of serious injury. I have my…Continue

Washing Machine Repairer Sought

Hi - pretty prosaic posting, I am afraid. Can anyone recommend a reliable washing machine repairer please? I have had a Bosch for many years (incredibly reliable - a real workhorse) but the bearings…Continue

THE NEW 20 MPH TRAFFIC SIGNS

The labels are off and now it’s official: the speed limit in Haringey’s side roads is 20mph. There is no doubt that impacts at lower speeds greatly reduce the risk of serious injury. The speed limit…See More

Suspension of Cllr Gideon Bull following his decision to oppose cuts to vulnerable adults.

You may be aware that Labour Councillor Gideon Bull spoke out against the closure by Haringey Council of a number of Day Centres in the borough for those suffering from dementia. (The only one to do so.) His temerity in speaking out resulted in a three month suspension from the Labour Party. This has really put Haringey on the (international) map. A petition was launched to have him reinstated. At the time of writing the number of signatories has reached very nearly 60,000 worldwide! If you…See More
