Sculptor TB Huxley Jones FRBS (1908 - 1968)
Unveiled in 1965 , it was to be the third and final London Fountain to be produced by the artist and completes the trinity of fountains that include the Helios fountain at BBC Television Centre Shepherds Bush and The Joy of life Fountain in Hyde park.

On another subject, here's a rumour about the library.
On the topic of statues, I think it's worth adding pictures of the other statues on the trinity, both of which have much more splendid surroundings than our reclining nude. On which topic, there is from time to time a fund made available to create/improve pocket parks. I believe the area around the fountain would benefit. And we also have in Crouch End a relief of the Spirit of Electricity, bringer of heat and light, perhaps a cousin of Helios.
