Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Who cares what's happening at Hornsey Town Hall, we are getting a new fish and chip shop. But is our optimism about the future of the town centre misplaced if it only one large eatery?
Local politics and activism
Alexandra Palace has got its Heritage Lottery Fund-ing in what some consider to be a travesty of conservation. Haringey is 50 years old and wants to know about "your Haringey" (prizes to be won). Adrian has managed to agree with a couple of our Labour luminaries - Claire and Stuart. There seems to be progress on the Hornsey Vale Community Centre
Budgen's has re-opened and has given away some Easter Bunnies. David has found a shop front with a Fitzroy telephone number.
Eating and drinking
We do now have some news of Matthew's Kitchen and Irvin's Bar and Grill should be open. David has provided with a comparative evaluation of the Three Compasses and GNR tavern . . . . .
. . . .and a review of some sacred music. Details are emerging on the Crouch End Festival and why not take part in the Crouch End 10k Fun Run and Festival to help reduce homelessness. It is still not too late to take our acorn quiz
