Helena Halme (now an N8 based author) went on a pub crawl which gave rise to someother thoughts. We seem to have a pretty good selection of lively pubs in N8.
The question of spending on consultants by Haringey prompted a strong response and a reply from Haringey's cabinet minister responsible. 9 out of 13 respondents to our poll think that the money should have been spent elsewhere.

Mr Toasty has had experience of the motor bike thieves and is proposing a subsidy by public subscription to tempt Toff's down the hill. 
Real appliances continues to gather approval and Haringey / DEFRA want to know aboutdangerous dogs
Adrian has entered his second childhood and Duschka needs a structural engineer
And from a couple of weeks ago there is a discussion about wind farms (and so on)
Forthcoming events include A saturday taster at the Railway Fields Nature reserve on 31st and an open allotment on 1st September. The Hornsey Festival will be over the weekend of 13th - 15th
