Licensing

Licensing is a fairly complex subject given that both people and premises can be licensed for a range of purposes including sale of alcohol, music, dance, sex and gambling. Given that the legislation passing licensing from magistrate's courts to councils under Labour from 1997 - 2010 was botched, it has been subject to a variety of revisions under a variety of guises. Fortunately, Haringey Council deals with them all at this address (most licenses) except for gambling which is here. In order to know what applications are being considered it is necessary to check here.  As at 5th November 2010 there are no licensing applications under consideration in N8.
