Welcome to the latest bulletin from OpinioN8

Some items that have generated busy interaction between members

The Farmer's Market debate continues and has contained thoughtful contributions on what constitutes a successful high street from Jo, as well as discussion of the rival Farmer's Market commercial interests, plus contributions from many other members

The brief survey about the Market and shopping habits has a small majority in favour of a Farmer's Market and is still available to collect your views

A lively discussion about Riley's the ice cream parlour, how it smells and what it tastes like  picks up on the earlier debate on planning permission. "Riley's" seems so much more prosaic than our suggestions as to what it should be called

Boris's visit to Budgen's caused a bit of a stir and an undertaking (sort of) to extend the bike hire scheme to Crouch End. Thanks to Andrew Thornton for passing our question on.

The shape of High Streets caused more comment in Tamara's discussion about Wood Green, Of course we support activity that might improve a shopping centre we can walk to.

More High Street debate in these recommendations for hairdressers and badger impersonations

Some Twitter and OpinioN8 comments in a restaurant review that completely avoids all hint of sycophancy

And just off the High Street a couple of items about the use of space in the local library (or do I mean Community Hub?)

The most viewed item (and certainly the most trivial), is this nostalgic picture from a local history book written by local author Ken Gay, both on the site and through Twiiter

Please support Lydia's riding campaign

See a prize winning film for free

Take Part in a peace walk

Attend a wine tasting in a local library
