There are two dawn chorus this weekend - on Saturday at Railway Fields and on Sunday on the Parkland Walk, where a lot of other stuff is also going on. Ideal for early risers and insomniacs. But where have all the foxes goneAnd are our bees safe from us?

Later risers might prefer the music at the Henry Reader this Saturday, where landlady Jenny has set up the Crouch End and Hornsey Pub Watch.

Crouch End's major cultural event next weekend are the Open Studios, though the art gallery at the library has a taster exhibition starting tomorrow - see this brochure for more details.
