The Crouch End Festival 2012 has been under way since Friday and by most reports is going pretty well - apparently 88 people turned out for the Secret Cinema on a not very pleasant May evening, and some of the children's events were over subscribed, with the unfortunate side effect that some were turned away disappointed. I made it to Riley's on Friday night which was full of customers enjoying Black Dog Hat. The Festival co-incident Barboot was wonderfully well subscribed and Crouch End was buzzing all evening.
There are more happenings at the British Legion Building in Elder Avenue. The new owner has realised what a clanger he has dropped and is raising desperate objections to something he really should have ignored.Cllr Paul Strang has circulated an email which touches on the subject
