Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information

Who's Who in Hell, by Robert Chalmers - set in Crouch End a proposal for the next book club read

I'd like to propose we read this book as a Book Club choice, if only because it is set in Crouch End and the author proselytises on behalf of Crouch End in this video clip. Certainly not because this reviewer thinks it does not get going until chapter 30 (out of 36) and that the "omissions and repetitions, grammatical errors and examples of tautology" try the patience

I'm up for that. Can we give ourselves a month to read it?

I've ordered the paperback from Oxfam (£3.99) - 2nd class post - might be here in a month.

I would have ordered the ebook , but not sure how I'd lend that to anyone.

I have started reading this book but I probably won't get round to finishing it. As far as I've got it feels less like a novel and more like a collection of anecdotes loosely associated by having the same people in them. If anyone wants to borrow it, let me know.
