sharing news and views from Crouch End and Hornsey

I bought tickets for the 100 millionaires draw last Friday.

I went back to the till this week to have the numbers checked. I am pleased to say I got very nearly my original stake back.  The lady on the till put the ticket in the machine and 'whoo hoo-ed' because I had won £6. But, I could not see the screen she read this from, nor did she return my original ticket, nor did I get a printed receipt. I did not think about the absence of audit trail until later when I began to wonder if perhaps actually won £60 or £600. I don't think I had but I would have been reassured by sight of something confirming the verbal assurances
