ROUND UP
Social events, energy saving workshops, Credit Union, Crafting and Gardening The start of the new year saw members keen to get back into the swing of timebanking. We have had
2 lunch time socials which we combined with
energy saving workshops and a visit from
Haringey Credit Union.
We welcomed some new people and were delighted to see the regular attendees again. The lunches continue to be popular, giving members a chance to socialise, plan new activities and arrange swaps.
We are keen to meet with all our members and welcome new members and accept that Monday may not be that great for those of you who work— so if you have ideas for possible venues for weekend/evening get togethers please let us know.
Our two
energy saving workshops run by Green Doctor from Groundwork and John Mathers, fuel poverty officer from Haringey Council 40:20 project were well attended. Members gained valuable information about how to manage their energy bills, also they took away lots of free samples to help insulate their home.
We were delighted to welcome Eugene from the
Credit Union who explained how it all works and why it is the best option for those of us who may need to access a loan but who also want to save money at the same time.
Crafting workshops have been running every Monday and members have made some beautiful items including special frames, cards and Christmas wreaths. We are moving to the Bernie Grant Art Centre from Monday 11th March and would love for your to join us - just bring along your enthusiasm.
We are working with
Sustrans in Northumberland Park to deliver
Cycle training and bike maintenance courses with AQA accreditation. Please get in touch for more information.
