The Salvation Army Citadel / Music Palace / Arthouse /change of use

A planning application has been submitted for change of use at 159 Tottenham Lane, which was once a Salvation Army citadel, once the Hustler snooker hall and  in 2010 almost a lap dancing venue is now set to become a cinema / theatre.

In the applicant's own words

2. Impact of change of use on surrounding areas
The change of use from a night club to cinema/theatre will bring a welcome regeneration to a part of Tottenham lane that has been neglected in recent years. It would provide a much needed local amenity that will cater for young and old alike. A facility that will provide a diverse programme for Crouch ends local community and schools. The intention is for a local amenity accessible by walking / local buses and this should not see an increase in traffic or have any negative effect on parking to surrounding streets.

In many of the diagrams accompanying the application, the building next door, which was the Journal offices, is labelled YMCA building.
