Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Excellent news from the Friends of Priory Park -
Some time ago the western courts (on your right as you enter the park from Priory Road) were fixed up. Now the eastern courts are to be thoroughly revamped. Work starts on 3rd November and is expected to be completed by Christmas. Details are in the attached document.
All the courts will continue to be free to play. And of course you can borrow rackets and balls, free of charge, from the cafe. (Including children's sizes.)
Take a look too at what the Priory Park Volunteers have done, by hard physical labour.
This paragraph from Charlotte's attachment is evidence of hard form filling labour.
"Friends of Priory Park has been working with Haringey Council and sourcing funding for new courts for several years. Funding for the project has come from a variety of sources including Haringey Council itself, Fields in Trust who gave £10,000, Marathon Trust who gave £30,000 and the Veolia Environmental Trust who have awarded £35,000 through the Landfill Communities Fund."
Priory Park is luck to have such good friends.
