Saw the dry-cleaning machine being craned out the other day. They had to take the whole window out. Quite an operation.

Bill Stickers sign has made way for "n8 bikes opening soon". So, a bike shop coming soon??

Meanwhile a few doors down, the refit in the shop that used to be Honeycomb/Home is coming on apace.

It also appears Litchfields will become a pilates studio!

Shame there is still no movement on the 3 empty shops between HH and Costa.

Meanwhile, Butternut Bikes are vacating the Railway Tavern (pop-up during Cvd-19 pub closure) and opening Monday 29th June on Crouch Hill, next to Nickel, where Two Wheels Good used to be.

Beam have knocked through into what was Honeycomb / Home.

I understand that Bill chooses where to eat out based on quantity rather than quality. A planning guru acquaintance has given me the following figures

The top 10 A3/A4 units in Crouch End by rateable floorspace are –
1. Queens 360 m2 (approx)
2. Kings Head 340 m2 (approx)
3. Maynard Arms 290 m2 (approx)
4. 26 Broadway (Middeys) 278.8 m2
5. Monkey Nuts 268.8 m2
6. Beam 257.6 m2
7. Chicken Shop 255 m2
8. Princess Alexandra 240 m2 (approx)
9. Sumak 238.8 m2
10. Picturehouse (1st floor cafe) 200 m2 (approx)
So, Beam is Bill's third favourite
café/restaurant in Crouch End.

For comparison, the F&B spaces in the HTH development -
Annex East cafe 280 m2
Annex West cafe (Middeys) 275 m2
West wing restaurant 180 m2
Supper Room 170 m2
Rooftop bar 90 m2
Ground Floor cafe 30 m2
+ Crush Bar

William Stickers is innocent.
