Petrification, a step beyond gentrification for Crouch End

We haven't yet got a pet parlour, in what might be thought a shop, in Crouch End. Betty B's Dog Grooming operates out of a cabin in Elder Avenue, but Betty can take on no more work. She has though avoided the dogged determination to keep on punning that afflicts Hair of the Dog in Highgate, K9 Couture in Muswell Hill, and Nutts 4 Mutts in NW6.

Welcome to the pet grooming scene then Foxy Groomers. Try to guess from the name what this company does. Is it good looking ladies (foxy) who groom? Is it to provide grooming that results in good looking ladies? Is it provided by groomers who in some way resemble foxes? Are we planning to groom our population of urban foxes? No,  none of these things - "Every Foxy Groomers full groom visit will treat your pooch to a thorough shampooing with a nose to tail massage, foaming facial wash, nail clipping, ear cleaning, scissor & clip to requirements and of course, a touch of foxy loving."

And if the planning application goes through what was Pura, 100% organic fish nibbling beauty treatments, will become a stone grey Foxy Groomers between Pearl and Turquoise and Coffee Circus.

And of course, petrification is the next step up beyond gentrification. Only the shop front will turn to stone grey.

"A touch of foxy loving"?

Now I've seen that before...  oh, yes, I may be mistaken but I think that a thorough shampooing with a nose to tail massage, foaming facial wash, nail clipping, ear cleaning, scissor & clip to requirements and of course, a touch of foxy loving - is a service also provided by Lanacombe Sauna on Crouch End Hill.

Crouch Hill ... Crouch End Hill... why, it's all a recipe for an hilarious mix up.
