Nakama premises available

I have had dinner in Nakama a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the chefs there was on a tv contest and her signature dish was pretty damn good, but now the premises are up for rent.

Outgoings are

rent : £14,720

rates : £7,752

The agents claim turnover of c£180,000 p.a. and the owners want a £40,000 premium for the lease.

That's a real shame, great restaurant. The owner's daughter was on Masterchef a few years back,and did really well. Do we know why they're closing?

Sad news. We regularly buy the best sushi from here and enjoy from home, but it is often very quiet. The staff are lovely also. Will miss this restaurant.

I do hope that, once the two cinemas are open, that this stretch of shops will start to flourish again.
