sharing news and views from Crouch End and Hornsey

I rang the finder of the ginger cat last night. She seemed distracted but she did confirm that the cat had been returned ti its owner, but not that it was Mycroft. Either way I am pleased that a cat has been returned to its owner.

I like the idea that the cat has been named for Sherlock Holmes's brother, of whom Conan-Doyle wrote

"...he has no ambition and no energy" - the outward appearance given by many of the cats I have met, and " . . .his specialism is omniscience." - certainly many cats know enough to be fed and pampered and to lead a life of ease.

Thanks for posting this and thanks for appreciating the name!
Wasn't Mycroft also very very clever?  Even more than Sherlock?  I'm sure Mycroft the clever cat will find his way home.  I will keep an eye out when on maneouvres - my daughter is particularly keen to trace missing cats and has even bought a magnifying glass for the task!
here are some photos.

Delighted to say Mycroft is home safe and well. Thanks so much to the lovely Hannah and Luis for bringing him back.
