This change to the licensing hours actually brings this pub more in line with some of the others in Crouch End. More to the point I suspect, is what difference it will make to the opening hours and the nature of the business carried on there. Will this cause an escalation of late night drunkenness in Crouch End.

So I have written to the pub's website asking:

Dear Harringay Arms
I see from the Haringey website that you have applied for an extension to your licensing hours and have added various types of entertainment to the licence you currently have.
Please can you tell me:
1) what changes you plan to make to your opening hours to make use of the extended licence
2) how you think this will change the nature of your clientele, and of the business you are running at present.
Many Thanks

According to this page of current licences on the Haringey website the King's Head already has a licence from 10am till 2am every day except Sunday (till 1am) , and the Queens (I chose my pubs to achieve gender equality) has a slightly more limited set of hours, with alcohol licensing finishing at 1am except on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
