Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
To be honest I'm not even sure it's an aspidistra. I had lunch with a family group in Edith's last week. We sat on the Ercol Dining set in the alcove by the Kitchen. Just on the other side of the partition from the pink doily covered toilet seat.
We were all happy with our food. I had a minty pea scone with smoked salmon and a tasty salad. Top notch. The tea comes in old fashioned pots as though at the vicarage tea party, and the cups are dainty bone china in a variety of shapes but generally small. Others had quiche and bacon butties. Everyone happy.
I have to admit to being in two minds about the dog. She did do a very good job of clearing up the bits that the one year old dropped, but . . . .?
Still and all I'd go back. £36 for four and a half of us for lunch.
