Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
A determined group of local people has not given up the fight to prevent the outgoing, discredited and largely now resigned Labour administration from completing its sale of Hornsey Town Hall. The Town Hall is currently a fully functioning, self financing Arts Centre, capable of being so much more than a hotel and a block of flats, owned and profited from by an owner based in the British Virgin Islands.
There is a limited amount of time in which a judicial review can be launched, and the first step in taking this action is to get an authoritative view from barristers skilled in planning and procurement to identify the grounds for the challenge. Apparently barristers only work for cash in hand in advance so the group (Hornsey Town Hall Appreciation Society) needs £2,000 this week to crack on with the project. They've done well to raise over £1,100 the first day, but just need a little additional help to get to the initial target.
Can you chip in with a few quid, to help them on the way.
