Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Haringey People this month has a 2 page spread (pp 20 and 21) on how entrepreneurs are bringing enterprise and jobs to Haringey. The examples cited are all beneficiaries of the council’s Opportunity Investment Fund (OIF) which is dedicated to Tottenham.
There is a smaller article (p6) on the partnership between Haringey and the Heritage Lottery Fund to invest £2.3 million in Tottenham High Road to do up some shop fronts.
And under the introduction "I’m delighted that this edition of Haringey People turns the spotlight on some of the independent entrepreneurs that are helping to put our borough on the map . . . . " in her paean of praise Claire Kober celebrates the sale of Hornsey Town hall to a Chinese property developer and the eviction of over 70 small businesses with the slight fib "This summer has already seen the unveiling of plans for the multi-million pound renovation of Crouch End’s Hornsey Town Hall . . . " because, in fact, we are still awaiting the revised planning application.
