Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information

Guardians - Braine Hownd - Crouch End a comedy about house sitting in East London

Recently received on Facebook.

A comedy thriller in which two unqualified men are thrown together and tasked with protecting an East London townhouse with a big secret from unseen assailants that may or may not be 200 yr old ghosts cursed to haunt the walls of the house till emptiness consumes it. Easy.

Dear Opinon8, Our debut feature film Guardians is about to embark on a UK tour of cinema's. It has sold out screens across London as well as winning awards in the US.

We have strong connections to Crouch End and North London as Guardians stars Crouch End local Matt Prendergast and Highgates David Whitney and was also produced by Fred Fournier who is also living in Highgate.

The film is a comedy described as a cross between Withnail & I and Panic Room. It also features Red Dwarf's Hattie Hayridge, Radio 4's Mike Shephard and is written and directed by former Crouch Ender local Mark A. C. Brown (me).

The first stop on the UK tour is Brighton followed soon after by the Crouch End Picturehouse. From there we go to Edinburgh and Glasgow taking in the Newcastle, Ramsgate, Southend and Hastings film festivals along the way as well as a few in America and Europe.
