Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information

The BBC and UEA have posted the ward level breakdown of voting in the great Brexit plebiscite.

Crouch End is 72% remain, the H&WG constituency 75% so. But there are variations - for instance the Hornsey ward was one-third leave (a voice cowed perhaps?). It's also interesting that the more likely a ward is to return a non-Labour vote (Highgate, Muswell Hill, etc), the more likely they were to vote remain. You can see why the Lib Dems are focused on that electorate.

PS. The oft quoted correlation to educational levels is perhaps evident - but it breaks down when you look at Tottenham voting.

But maybe that's due to ethnicity and multi cultural areas? Well, you may say that too, except that assertion also breaks down when you look at how the Wood Green/Harringay/Bounds Green area voted. It seems the voting intentions of the group known as "white/other" (everyone from Poles to Cypriot heritage) is a very difficult thing to pin down.
