Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information

Does any of us know any of the Hornsey Town Hall Arts Centre people?

FEC have announced that "The Time + Space Co. led by Crouch Ender Piers Read has been appointed arts operator for the Grade II* Listed Hornsey Town Hall." and that "Partners include Jon Gilchrist, former Executive Director of the Bush Theatre in London, [...] and Musion, the world leading 3D holographic producer who will base their HQ at Hornsey Town Hall"

I don't know any of these people. Does any one else? Obviously there is a lot of information about each of them on the internet (Musion is owned by an individual) from which inferences can be drawn, but a bit of personal knowledge would be useful. There will be a day of meetings between one or more of them and various community bodies on 25th October. Presumably the Arts Centre Operator will have a vision to set out, but the community will have questions, a bit like a job interview, except, of course, the appointment is already a fait accompli.

But if you have any questions for Piers add them here and I will try and get them asked.

If you can add any useful details about these three, I would be pleased.

Piers Read

lives in Crouch End, so he must be all right. Companies House lists 14 appointments with different companies, both active and inactive, some of them based in Bourne Road. It is not evident from the names that any of them is an Arts Centre.

The Time and Space Co. is a family affair - all three directors have the same surname, and it has yet to file a set of accounts. Its website has a page of glowing testimonials.

Jon Gilchrist

is currently at the Bush Theatre and was formerly at the Lowry.

Musion

uses and markets holograms, which is a modern form of smoke and mirrors. It is wholly owned by Giovanni Palma
