Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
CEF aren't best pleased with the (lack of) coverage in our putative local rag. Not surprising, I think there was a brief mention of a zombie, but other than that nada. They're so narked they're tweeting for a boycott ...
Albeit just a one dayer, the Muswell Hill midsummer event seemed to get even less, though strangely Highgate's Fair in the Square and Hampstead's South End Green fete got the spreads.
As mentioned on this site before, the Ham & High Broadway hardly qualifies as a local paper being largely given over to repeating articles about Hampstead and Highgate. Is the Broadway edition viable? Would they like us to write some articles for them? Is it time for someone else to launch a local Crouch End Chronicle? A Hornsey Hornet? Or maybe the Crouch, High & Horn, Well?
Maybe - apparently, according to the Times, local papers are making a comeback...
CEF is the biggest local festival in the universe, is it not. Surely it can rise above this tiny oversight. Indeed , if local papers are making a comeback the Festival could probably revive the H&H at a stroke, by granting them the boon of a stall in the square.
