Connecting Crouch End and Hornsey with news, views and information
Just this week there has been an announcement of £50m to boost regeneration and rejuvenate town centres at the very heart of local London communities. The Mayor will now work with the Outer London Commission, an independent body Mr Johnson set up as one of his first acts as Mayor, to advise his team on how to get the best out of money available through this new fund.
Haringey's Claire Kober has made a temporising statement to the press, which seems entirely fair, given that there is probably very little detail for her to go on as yet.
I think that perhaps we, the citizens of Crouch End and Hornsey, should monitor this "work[ing] closely with our partners to try to ensure our [LBH's] bid is successful".
I speak from a position of immense ignorance, but I would hope that local traders' associations and The Crouch End Project would be included amongst those partners.
