Spring Has Sprung Stroud Green’s First Beer Festival
Wednesday 25th – Sunday 29th March
This March sees the launch of Stroud Green Beer Festival, a celebration of all things real ale at The Stapleton Tavern.
Spread across Wednesday 25th – Sunday 29th March, Antic London’s much loved public house The Stapleton Tavern will be transformed into a beer drinkers haven, promising ale-filled fun, live entertainment and a barrel full of good cheer.
With an optimistic nod towards the spring months ahead, Stroud Green Beer Festival will offer fourteen of the finest handpicked seasonal real ales from London and the surrounding Southern regions. With the likes of Twickenham Fine Ales, Sambrook’s Brewery and Redemption Brewing to quench your thirst, as well as some rare treats from Dark Star, you will undoubtedly be spoilt for choice. Loyal Gunners supporters must keep their eyes peeled for the festival’s showpiece ale Hop Stuff’s Arsenal Pale Ale – a must try! But hurry, once the firkin is empty, it’s gone for good.
Drawing upon the festival’s tasting, sharing and discovering ethos, brews will be served in halves and drink tokens will be sold in batches of five at £10, giving you the full festival experience.
Inspired by the exciting and diverse range of real ales currently available in the UK, event organiser and manager of The Stapleton Tavern, David Hayes sees the festival as a “…fantastic opportunity to try some of these products. It is a chance for us to showcase our passion for real ales here at The Stapleton and get the Stroud Green beer loving community together.”
Throughout the festival, The Stapleton Tavern will host a variety of beer-filled events and family entertainment. To kick start proceedings, on Wednesday 25thMeet The Brewer gives you the chance to get up close and personal with some of London’s beer experts. Learn about the flavours and techniques behind your favourite brews, talk food and drink matching and whet your whistle with samples aplenty.
Get quizzical on Thursday 26th with The Stapleton Tavern’s beer-themed Pub Quiz extravaganza. With a ‘Build Your Own Pub’ creative round, beer tokens and a tour of Sambrook’s Brewery up for grabs, everyone’s a winner!
On Saturday 28th round up the kids for an afternoon of face painting, craft making, fun and board games. Or if live music sends you into a spin, why not accompany your Sunday roast with some original and cover tunes from some of the areas bright young things at the festival’s closing Open Mic Night?
