| More info | The success of Soho Sound's Beat Convention left people in demand of another night at St George's Hall, so this time were putting on something even better named Beat Club. And with us are some terrific acts. 50 Years ago today Beat Groups were filling church dance halls to play as live entertainment at the youth clubs and weekly dances. This night attempts to resurrect that scene, and bring it back to the forefront in the current live music scene. However which way you look at it, you'll be stepping back in time.

MFC Chicken who formed above a fried chicken shop of the same name on Holloway Road and are set to go into Gizzard studio to record a potential release are probably my favourite band right now.
