Event Description

There is yet another planning application to Haringey Council for permission to erect a huge new building, just around the corner from you on the Hornsey Journal plot (between the Citadel and Kwik Fit.)

The application, from ‘SecureaSale’, is a cynical attempt to squeeze every inch out of this small site with no regard for the local area or community. They want to build 6 flats and 3 houses right up to the back boundary, with no parking, plus commercial space (see overleaf)

It would be a TERRIBLE PRECEDENT for Crouch End.
Key objections:-
Main front building higher than Kwik Fit, towering over the Citadel
Houses bang up against small (subdivided) existing gardens, killing trees, dark and oppressive.
Cramming,
Tiny rooms e.g. five 2 bedroom flats only 64 - 67 sq m
No parking provision for 9 new 2+ bed dwellings

Come to a residents’ meeting to find out more
SUNDAY 23 November 5.30pm
at 24 Fairfield Road N8 9HG
OR
WRITE TO THE COUNCIL and OBJECT
