“We are presenting an Exhibition at the Health Centre, Park Rd N8, on our local soldiers who died in WW1 and are commemorated on the Boards in Hornsey Local War Memorial Chapel at the Park Road Health Centre. We will be there from Thursday 31st July to Thursday 7th August from 10 am to 12 pm (not Sat/Sun)
Each Soldier has a page of information on him, and we have maps showing the roads these men lived in, with other Hornsey war-time information. The Memorial is open on weekdays, so it can be seen in context of the lives of the men remembered there.
On Sat and Sunday we will be at Hornsey Library, behind the Town Hall - on Saturday 2nd August from 10 am to 12 pm, and on Sunday 3rd August from 2 pm to 4pm.
If you have a fallen WW1 soldier in the family, bring his name and date of death with you. For more information contact Joy 020 8 883 8486 / 07790 254 251
Hornsey Historical Society presents an exhibition on the start of the war, and information on each soldier, to make their names live again. Come and choose a name, and learn a bit about the soldier who gave his life.
