A concert of 17th century English music for voices and viols performed by Drake's Viols and The Voices of Fair Oriana, directed by Crouch Ender, Simon Lillystone.
Compositions from the foremost composers of the era, such as Byrd, Gibbons, and Dowland, illustrate the thin line between sacred and secular music making in 17th century English households.
The concert is part of the St John's Concert Series 2012, which aims to raise funds for St John's Hospice, which is situated at the venue.
Admission is by donation, and refreshments are available.
Please visit the website www.hje.org.uk to find out more about the concert series and the work of the hospice.
